The U.S. Army has released a report containing concerns that Twitter could be used by terrorists as a way of planning attacks and keeping tabs on each other. It also contained several scenarios of such a use such as a terrorist using the microblogging site to send a tweet to remotely set off an explosive device. A second terrorist with the detonator would receive the tweet. “Twitter is already used by some members to post and/or support extremist ideologies and perspectives,” the report said. “For example, there are multiple pro- and anti-Hezbollah Tweets. In addition, extremist and terrorist use of Twitter could evolve over time to reflect tactics that are already evolving in use by ‘hacktivists’ and activists for surveillance. Nokia takes marketing to the next level with the Nokia Musical Park Bench. There will be a bunch of benches secretly placed all over the UK, and each bench will feature three Nokia handsets and headphones installed into the arm rests. Depending on where you are, the playlist will differ to cater to various regions’ favorites thanks to a survey held by Nokia. More musical savvy folks will realize that Liverpool’s list will have more Beatles songs compared to Birmingham, which will feature Black Sabbath instead. Each bench comes with a live performer, so you can forget about stealing those phones (or even benches, for that matter). A set of four Flatstoppers will set you back $260. What do these “non-skid race ramps” do? They coddle the tires of your car to prevent flat spots, which can lead to the dreaded problem known as “whap whap”.
The idea is that you prop up your Ferrari (or any other spare car too precious to take out during the cold winter months in case the chill bothers the poor beast) and the tires are supported in their natural, round shape. This stops the development of flat spots in the tires which can seriously mar the first Stoli-and-coke fuelled trip of the summer.
The ramps are guaranteed for a whole year, which amounts to a single use.
Feeling a wee bit naughty? Well, you will be able to take the plunge and zip through express lanes without worrying too much about getting fined with the RF License Plate Cover, although we still think that the authorities are able to track you down and slap your post box with a ticket sooner or later. A simple touch of a button will let a plastic cover slide over your license plate, rendering it unreadable. That might be a novelty, but it will definitely result in you committing two offences - the original plus not displaying your license plate properly. Fancy forking out $121 for the RF License Plate Cover? Take note that it is specially designed for Euro style license plates only. (Read the full post about ‘RF License Plate Cover’…)
